New York - Rock band Daughtry has managed to knock Michael Jackson off the US charts, with its second album, Leave This Town.

The band, led by former American Idol finalist Chris Daughtry, sold 269,000 copies of the album released last week, the New York Times reported Thursday.

King of Pop Jackson has topped the Billboard charts since his death June 25.

Jackson's albums continue to sell - 192,000 copies of Number Ones sold last week, along with 125,000 copies of The Essential Michael Jackson and 114,000 copies of his biggest hit, Thriller.(dpa)
