Roddick deflates Murraymania to reach final against Federer London - Andy Roddick deflated Britain's Murraymania with a 6-4, 4-6, 7-6 (9-7), 7-6 (7-5) defeat of the Scot on Friday to set up his third Wimbledon final against Roger Federer.

Andy Murray lost to Roddick to end the dream of becoming the first British man into the home final since Bunny Austin in 1938. The dream of the first British winner since
1936 will have to wait another year.

Murray was ambushed by the big serve and varied attack of Roddick, who lost finals to Federer in 2004 and 2005 and stands 2-18 against the Swiss.

Federer, bidding for his sixth Wimbledon title in seven years, controlled Tommy Haas 7-6 (7-3), 7-5, 6-3 to reach his seventh consecutive final at the All England Club earlier in the day.(dpa)
