Beijing, Nov 08 : World Player of the Year Cristiano Ronaldo is of the opinion that he would be considered one of the greatest footballers of all time in history by the time he retires.

On Wednesday Ronaldo picked up the third Golden Boot award of his career for being the top scorer in Europe last season and he is also the odds-on favorite to win the Ballon d'Or for a third time in January.

And, while insisting he still has plenty of years at the top left in him, the Portuguese is confident his place among the game's all-time greats is assured, China Daily reported.

Ronaldo said that he always want to be the best, that is what he works towards every day. He added that he respects what people think and he is making his own story bit by bit.

The striker said that he still has a long way to go and when he finishes his career he can look at his stats to see if he is among the best in history, adding that he is sure he would be.

Ronaldo's blistering form has continued this season with 22 goals in 16 games to propel the European champion to the top of La Liga and into the last 16 of the Champions League, the report added. (ANI)
