Initially Slumdog Millionaire" child star Azharuddin and now his co-star Rubina Ali are on roads along with their families as their home were razed by civic authorities. Azharuddin's house was demolished earlier this month while Rubina's house was demolished on Wednesday.

Home of Rubina who lived in Mumbai's Bandra (East) suburb was demolished by the local railway authorities. Despite the various promises made by government to give these child stars new houses these children are homeless.

Rubina's father, Rafiq Qureshi was allegedly beaten up by the police. However police has denied the incident.

Mr. Mohiddin, her uncle said: "The police personnel accompanying the railway officials physically assaulted Rafiq and he had to undergo treatment for his injuries at a nearby hospital".

Umashankar Mistry, H-East ward officer said: "All the illegal encroachments on the nullah were today demolished because it needs to be widen to avoid flood-like situation during monsoons."
