It has been known that the famous Bahamian-born American professional tennis player Ryan Sweeting and Big Bang Theory Star Kaley Cuoco have filed for a divorce. Now after the legal proceedings have started, Sweeting has asked for spousal support from his estranged wife.

Sweeting, 28, apart from spousal support, is also requesting the court that it should terminate granting spousal support to Cuoco, according to the court documents obtained by PEOPLE.

The divorce was filed on September 3 by Cuoco citing irreconcilable differences. The couple did have a pre-nuptial agreement in place which they signed a month before tying the knot.

A representative of the 29-year-old Big Bang Star told PEOPLE that the decision of divorce was a mutual decision. The couple has decided to split just after 21 months of marriage.

As per a source familiar with this matter, there was noticeable tension between the two before they filed for a divorce. “Few times Kaley and Ryan were out together recently, the tension was noticeable. You could tell the honeymoon phase had ended. It seemed they were trying to work out their marriage by going on dates, but they both seemed miserable”, the source told PEOPLE.

Kaley Cuoco is not dating her Big Bang Theory co-star, Johnny Galecki, confirmed the source. But a lot of gossip about their dating has been there over the Internet. Although the two Big bang actors have dated previously, they say that they are just good friends, and they aren’t secretly dating after Kaley's split from Ryan Sweeting.

Soon after Cuoco’s revelation about the divorce, fans started to speculate the reasons behind their divorce, and Galecki’s name surfaced as part of speculation made by fans.
