Washington, October 02 : Scarlett Johansson has dismissed rumors that she will star in a revival of Broadway musical ‘Promises.’

In fact the actress has claimed that she was not even approached for the role.

Contactmusic reports, her spokesperson said the rumour “is simply not true," and "she hasn’t even been approached about it.”

Earlier, online reports had claimed that the ‘The Presitge’ actress was competing with Anne Hathaway and Zooey Deschanel to play a waitress who falls in love with an up-and-coming businessman.

The debut date for the Neil Simon/Burt Bacharach/Hal David musical has still not been confirmed. (ANI)
