Madhur Bhandarkar is ready to perform ‘Operation Salvage’ on Shruti Haasan’s career.

In what is quite clearly a maneuver to offer up the great Kamal Haasan’s daughter a commercial boost, which Soham Shah’s Luck could not.

Bhandarkar has signed Shruti to play a key role in his first comedy flick ‘Dil To Bachcha Hai Ji’.

The biggest fan of Kamal Haasan, Madhur said, “Shruti had met me some months ago expressing a desire to work with me. I thought she would suit the part opposite Emran Hashmi perfectly.”

Though not willing to admit that Kamal Haasan had any hand in it, Bhandarkar does confess that he’s a great buff of the actor.

“Kamalji is a legend. And I can’t say the thought of working with his daughter did not pass through my mind. However I must add that Shruti is a very bright pretty and talented girl. She’s bound to go far.”

Shruti’s career had come to a halt with a film ironically called Luck.

Maybe it will change, now that the daughter’s ball of fate is in papa Kamal’s court! (With Inputs from Agencies)
