Simpsons and Sesame Street theme parks open in California

Hamburg  - California has two new theme parks based on Sesame Street and the popular cartoon series The Simpsons.

From May 17, visitors to Universal Studios Hollywood will be able to go on the Simpson's Ride, according to the Los Angeles tourist office at an event in Hamburg.

Visitors to the theme park can ride on the Simpson's rollercoaster, hop on a ghost train and go to a live show with Krusty the Clown, one of the characters from the series.

Another highlight on offer is the Universal World of Entertainment where sets, costumes, special effects and props from Hollywood's film history are on show.

SeaWorld theme park in San Diego has Big Bird's Beach Party - a musical with characters from Sesame Street and a film, Lights, Camera, Imagination!

Opening at the end of May is another theme ride for kids, the Sesame Street Bay of Play.
