Sydney  - An Australian man was awakened by police Monday after he fell asleep at the wheel of a stolen luxury car at an automatic car wash in Adelaide.

An attendant called in a patrol car when the black Audi convertible and its 30-year-old driver had not moved for an hour.

The police said the car was reported stolen in July. The driver was charged with theft and was scheduled to face court next month. (dpa)
