Snag grounds stoppage on Noida Metro

Noida-MetroOn Friday morning due to a technological hitch on the congested Noida Metro row left many thousands of travelers trapped at different stations flanked by Dwarka, Noida and Anand Vihar. The problem was caused by a snag in the signaling system that led to loss of train identification numbers, which in turn delayed trains on Line 3 and 4 for over 30 minutes.

Line 3/4 connecting Dwarka Sector 9- Noida City Center/ Anand Vihar has observed recurrent indicating issues on the Overhead Electrification line. On October 19, a comparable dilemma had directed to stoppage on the similar line.

Metro trains are dashed on Automatic Train Operations as ingredient of that each train is provided an identification numeral. When the software arrangement loses the ID numeral, trains are trapped on the pathway and have to be activated in the guide form by drivers at a controlled speed that grounds gathering of trains.

The difficulty on Friday was noticed at 9 am, the crest rush hour. All trains on the track stood to a close down and had to toggle to the manual signaling approach.
