Somdev DevvarmanIndian tennis star Somdev Devvarman has crashed out of the Legg Mason Tennis Classic tournament as he failed to continue his good performance against big-serving Croat Ivo Karlovic on Friday.

The two times US college champion, Somdev went down to the 11th seeded Karlovic in straight sets by 5-7 1-6 in the second round. Somdev, the Chennai Open finalist, was unable to tackle powerful serves of Karlovic. Karlovic will now lock horns with the top seeded Andy Roddick in the quarterfinals. Roddick defeated Sam Querrey 7-6 (7/4), 6-4 in his second round match on Friday.

Meanwhile, Somdev is expected to jump at least 10 spots in the men's single rankings in the upcoming ATP rankings, which will be announced on Monday. Somdev had defeated sixth seeded M Cilic in the first round to take revenge of his defeat in the final of Chennai Open earlier this year.
