Spain beats Germany for Euro 2008 Title
Spain won the European championship 1-0 over Germany on Sunday for its first major title in 44 years. It was a long awaited victory for the Spaniards, who spent four decades falling short of expectations, even when they had talented players in their team.
"It is the most important day in Spanish football in many, many years." Torres said, who scored in 33rd minute to lead Spain towards the Euro 2008 title. "Our team manager holds a vital place in our team and we are very happy we could make this history for him and for us."
