Staying #1 is tougher than being #1: Kronschabl

Peter-KronschablPeter Kronschabl, President, BMW India who has been in the driving seat of the BMW India operations since the company entered the Indian boundaries in 2006 but soon he will shifted to Russia after playing a major role in getting the German luxury carmaker to the top slot.

In fact, Kronschabl has recently said that it is always easy to become the #1 in the Indian luxury car market but staying at the #1 spot will take that extra effort from the automaker in the times to come.

Moreover, as the ex-pat leaves in two weeks for Russia, he has been identified as a key growth driver by BMW AG after the substantial work he did for the Indian subsidiary. People close to him even say that it's his aggressive leadership style and focused approached taking cue from which BMW didn't take much time to reach at the top slot.

However, with Mercedes planning to come all guns blazing and with Audi also catching up fast, it is believed that the luxury car circuit will see a lot of action in the new future.
