Sunil Nair to head Citi’s PE business
Already in charge as the Managing Director and head of Citi Venture Capital International's (CVCI) investment activities in Central/Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa, Sunil Nair will soon be taking the additional responsibility of the PE business of Citi India with immediate effect.
Moreover, it is believed that after Nair gets into full swing with head of Citi Venture Capital International's (CVCI) investment, the business will touch new skies in the coming times.
Dipak Rastogi, CEO of CVCI said that the company has invested over an $1.1 billion in the Indian market over its 40 transactions and since Nair is a very senior management personnel, he will be able to take charge of the responsibility successfully.
Nair said that keeping in mind the bright fundamentals and investment prospects, the Indian economy is one of the lucrative destinations to put money in and reap rich dividends. Nair further added the fact that he will be playing a major role in establishing the CVCI subsidiary in the Indian market. It may be noted here that with the appointment of Nair, Citi will soon by trying to leverage from its global expertise.
