The Administration has comprised a task force to propose the design for formation of a National Surveillance System for antibiotics confrontation.

Responding to a question in the Lok Sabha, Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad expressed out illogical consumption of antibiotics and over-prescription of antibiotics are helping features for anti-biotic confrontation.

He further expressed out that the ministry has comprised a task force to appraise the present condition in regards to manufacture, usage and misusage of antibiotics in the nation, to start studies documenting instruction patterns and set up a monitoring scheme for the same and to put into effect and improve regulatory provisions for usage of antibiotics in person, veterinary and industrial usage.

The task force is probable to give its account by end of the month and the future track of action shall depend on the assessment of its proposals.
