TalkTalk takes up ex-BBC exec

TalkTalk takes up ex-BBC execUK telecom firm TalkTalk has recruited BBC's former controller of TV platforms, Rahul Chakkara, as the new man for the post of ' Director of Online activities', reports The Guardian.

Chakkara served his last day in BBC on 30 June, and is acknowledged for his contribution towards the development of the BBC's Project Canvas and at the same time BBC's popular on-demand video service, iPlayer.

The senior director for TV at TalkTalk, Max Alexander expressed his excitement stating that addition of Chakkara on board in the online operations adds to a bagful of experience and at the same time help in developing our online strategy.

The job profiling includes managing of sites such as talktalk. co. uk that includes customer support pages and forums.

However the key role is to make the company's online presence felt and improve website features adding to its functionality.
