Tech analysts note overall superiority of iPad Mini’s hardware vis-à-vis Kindle Fire HD
On the basis of an analysis of the key differences between Apple's newly-released iPad Mini and Amazon's Kindle Fire HD, technology analysts Eric Bleeker and Andrew Tonner said that the time they spent testing each tablet has revealed that the hardware of the iPad Mini is overall superior to the Kindle Fire HD.
Pointing out that even though Kindle Fire HD's screen is notably better than the iPad Mini's display in a number of ways, Eric and Andrew finally concluded that the confusing interface of Kindle Fire HD largely limits the enhancements made to the Amazon. com ecosystem.
Noting that Amazon has been relentlessly trying to build out its media stores as well as encourage app development, the tech analysts said that Kindle Fire HD's perplexing interface mars the experience and appears somewhat sluggish at times. In comparison, the proven Apple interface boasts a strong ecosystem which exceptionally encompasses messaging apps, tie-ins, Facetime, iTunes access, and existing app collections.
According to Eric and Andrew, despite the fact that the $199-priced Amazon Kindle Fire HD is a much more affordably priced tablet vis-a-vis the $329-priced entry-level iPad Mini, the advantages which the iPad Mini boasts over its rival - in terms of a better interface and a superior overall experience - are enough for consumers to show a preference for the Apple tablet, its higher cost notwithstanding.
