Technology behemoth Apple strikes again – iPad

Apple iPadWith the launch of a new touchpad, a tablet computer with a 9.7inch colour touch screen Apple seems to leave no stone unturned for its rivals. Its speculated that it poses the maximum amount of threat to the e-reader Kindle, a product of Amazon. This goliath works hand in glove with Pearson’s Penguin, News Corp’s HarperCollins, Lagardère’s Hachette Book Group etc.(to name a few) via its iBookstore application. With its 16 gigs memory (the starting range goes up to 64gigs), Wi-Fi and 3G cellular connectivity all-in-one, provides an optimum solution for the gizmo friendly people. The basic iPad starts with a price range of $499 and moves up the ladder with increase in functionality.

Sony, the first to manufacture an e-reader stated that this step leads to an increase of tech-knowhow enabling in sale of its products. iBookstore hasn’t released its prices yet but it seems that publishers are unlikely to want to go below 9.99$ a book. With this advent in technology Apple seems to abridge the gap between laptops and desktops. This element of lechery will hit stores by April. Till then keep your libidos in control.
