According to a security advisory posted by Mozilla on Tuesday, the recently-released third update of Firefox 3 - Firefox 3.0.9 - patches as many as 12 security vulnerabilities, four of which can be termed 'critical'.

So far as general bugs are concerned, Firefox 3.0.9 - weighing 17.2 MB, and available for Mac OS X, Windows, and Linux - fixes problems such as long time taken to submit big forms; non-display of inline image attachments in webmail services, and the loss of cookies.

Washington, Apr. 22: The Obama administration plans to create a new military command to coordinate the defense of Pentagon computer networks and improve U. S. offensive capabilities in cyber warfare, according to current and former officials familiar with the plans.

BT India, the Indian subsidiary of BT group, which is one of the world’s leading providers of communications solutions and services, has announced the opening of its first ever BT Asia Pacific Security Operations centre (SOC) in India.

According to the Sunnyvale, California based security firm, Symantec, Norton 360 version 3.0 is an all-in-one security solution for computers with/without internet connections.   

According to latest rumors about the new variant of Conficker, Version C, the malicious worm will get going again on the April Fool's Day! Though exactly what kind of damage the malware would cause is anybody's guess; bloggers assume the wreck to range from forced downloads of malicious code to more spam striking users' inboxes - blasting out update requests to its nearly 50,000 domains!
