London, Nov 2 : Footie star Theo Walcott has gifted a 140,000-pound Ferrari to his girlfriend Melanie Slade on her 21st birthday.

The 20-year-old Arsenal ace has asked the California model to replace the white VW Beetle he bought her three years ago.

"Melanie is over the moon. She loves the car and has even got a personalised number plate for it,” the Sun quoted a source as saying.

"She was scared of driving it at first, but she took it for a spin in London to get rid of her nerves,” the source added.

However, insurance experts have said that Theo would have to pay an annual premium of 20,000 pounds plus for the 193mph motor. (ANI)
