Duisburg, Germany  - Four people including three children died when a fire tore through an apartment house Sunday in the west German city of Duisburg, police said.

Three people were injured in the blaze, which broke out on the first and second floors of the building.

Police late Sunday changed their description of the fatalities from four children to three children and one woman.

It was not immediately clear what caused the fire. (dpa)
