Tokyo stocks mixed on earings reportsTokyo  - Japanese stocks ended trading Monday mixed as banks climbed on the back of positive earnings reports in the sector but profit declines led stocks such as Casio Computer Inc and Fujifilm Holdings Co down.

The benchmark Nikkei 225 Stock Average fell 4.35 points, or 0.04 per cent, to 10,352,47. Traders said investors remained cautious, fearing an overheating of the market.

The broader-based Topix index was up 7.3 points, or 0.77 per cent, at 957.56, closing at a nine-month high on positive quarterly earnings reports from the banking sector and the automotive industry.

On currency markets at noon (0300 GMT), the dollar traded at 94.71-76 yen, down from Friday's 5 pm quote of 95.60-61 yen.

The euro traded at 1.4245-50 dollars, up from late Friday's quote of 1.4114-15 dollars, and at 134.98-135.03 yen, from 134.93-97 yen. (dpa)
