Udaipur hotelier claims to have seen Jaipur Blast’ suspected terrorist

Udaipur, May 16 : Rajasthan police questioned a Udaipur based SamorBagh restaurant owner Kamal Joshi today who claimed to have seen one of the suspected terrorists, whose sketch was released by the police.

Joshi told the police on Friday that a person resembling the sketch, released on Thursday night, was seen in his restaurant on Sunday evening. The man was accompanied by a young woman and both of them came to the restaurant at about 4 pm on Sunday.

He further said the woman entered the restaurant wearing a saree but changed into a salwar kameez before leaving with the man, Joshi said, according to the police.

They did not take anything in the restaurant, he said.

Investigations were on to check the movement of the duo in the town said the in-charge of Surajpole police station Himmat Singh.

Rajasthan Police has also detained eight Bangladeshis near the famous Sufi shrine of Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti in Ajmer in this connection and they are being questioned, said Superintendent of Police (Ajmer) Anand Srivastava.

Delhi Police received phone calls about people resembling the sketches. They have been questioned have but nothing was found against them.

Rajasthan Police on Thursday night released sketches of three men and was preparing the sketch of another person suspected to be behind the Jaipur serial blasts that claimed 64 lives on Tuesday.

The sketches had been prepared on the basis of preliminary investigations into the blasts and descriptions given by owners of shops selling bicycles, bags and ball bearings which were used in the explosions, SP (North) R. Suhas said.

All the four were suspected to have planted the explosives which went off within a span of 12 minutes at several localities in the walled city on the night of Tuesday.

The first sketch released on Thursday of a 25-year-old man with wheatish complexion and Bengali accent. (ANI)
