Continental and United airlines are expected to be merged in near future. They are going to be the world's biggest airlines group. The deal is of worth $3billion and it will provide the newly made company the biggest share in the global market. British Airways and Spanish flag carrier, Iberia have agreed to merge last month to create European Giant as well.

After the global economic meltdown and the recession, the aviation industry is going for such merging and acquisitions.

The airlines have found out that merging is the best way to survive in the industry. This will help them to reduce the operating cost and they can improve their financial status as well. Even these merged companies are also sharing the cost as well.

The merged United and Continental Airlines will take around 6% of international market and 20% or more than that of the US domestic section. After the merge the new company's headquarter is expected to be in Chicago. Experts believe that it is not going to be a bad deal in such loss.
