US government announces another delay in HealthCare.gov enrolmentThe US government has said that there will be a delay for small firms for enrollment in the newly launched HealthCare. gov insurance scheme.

The government said on Wednesday that small businesses will not be able to enroll in the new health insurance exchanges until November 2014. The online enrolment was expected to begin this month in the country. The Affordable Care Act, which is popularly known as Obamacare, is aimed at avoiding such problems for consumers.

Julie Bataille, director of the Office of Communications for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services said that the businesses will continue to enrol for the Small Business Health Options Program through paper forms as the system has been in place since 1 October, 2013. Clyburn also said that President Barack Obama will regain credibility affected due to the technical problems affecting the system.

The businesses will be able to enrol through agents and brokers or directly through an insurer in the country. Bataille also said that the businesses will be able to claim tax benefits while filing their taxes.

"Many of them today are already served by using agents and brokers," Bataille said.
