US jobless benefit claims falls to 330,000According to the latest figures released, the total number of Americans seeking unemployment benefits from the state fell 15,000 to a seasonally adjusted 330,000 during the previous week.

The figures released by the Labor Department also showed that the more stable four-week average fell to 9,750 to 349,000.  Experts have said that there are no indication that snow and freezing weather across the country affected the figures.

It is believed that applications represents the situation for lay offs in the economy.  The figures have stabalised to the pre-recession levels after a period of volatility during the holiday season.  The figures indicates that the job gain will continue in the US economy.

The US economy has recorded a fall is layoffs as well as ioncreased hiring indicating that the US jobs market has recovered considerably in the year.  Employers added an average of 200,000 jobs a month from August till November as the unemployment rate remained below 7 per cent.
