In order to provide prospective customers with more options during the festive season, Verizon has announced a couple of Droids smartphones in white.

The mobile phone carrier has announced that the Droid Ultra and Droid Mini smatphones are now also available in black, in addition to the standard black and red colours.

The new colour has apparently added with a hope that more colour options would help attract more customers to the Motorola handsets, which have so far gain a huge following.  However, the Droid Maxx is still available only in black.

The Droid Ultra and Droid Mini smartphones were launched during summer this year to replace the aging Motorola Razr range of phones.

Excluding the new colour, the specs of both handsets remain the same.  The Motorola Droid Ultra features a 5-inch touchscreen with a 720p resolution, a 10-megapixel rear-facing camera, 2-megapixel front-facing camera, an X8 dual-core, 1.7 GHz processor, and 2130 mAh battery.

The Motorola Droid Mini comes equipped with a smaller 4.3-inch HD screen with Gorilla Glass, an X8 dual-core, 1.7 GHz processor, 10-megapixel rear-facing camera, and 2-megapixel front-facing camera.
