Videocon may shed 26% stake to foreign companies
The home-grown conglomerate, Videocon group has recently said that the Group is weighing options of diluting a 26 per cent stake in the company to foreign players in the coming times.
According to the Chairman of the Videocon Group Venugopal Dhoot many companies are eying a stake in the conglomerate and the company may dilute a stake of up to 26 per cent. However, experts are of a view that the Group is still waiting to get the most optimal valuation before it makes the decision to dilute its stake.
Moreover, it is believed that the Group is currently valued at around the Rs. 12,000 crore but it is expected to go up substantially as the Group has undertaken a massive expansion in the past one year.
Be it the ambitious DTH dreams or the tunes that its handsets are playing or the signals that its telephony services are catching, the Group is definitely expected to grow by leaps and bounds in times to come. Notably, the company has recently entered into circles like Tamil Nadu, Gujarat and Mumbai for its mobile services.
