Vodafone adds 36 lakh new users in March

VodafoneIndia has become the most promising mobile market all across the globe. The Vodafone Essar has managed to create 36 lakh new users in the month of March this year.

The mobile phone operator has picked up the first spot in terms of subscriber addition by piping the number one mobile service provider of the nation, Bharti Airtel. It has added 30 lakh new users for the same period of time.

Total 1.39 crore of new subscribers have been added to any of the GSM telephony service in the country for the month. This data was revealed by the Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI).

As per statistics, the all-India GSM cellular subscriber base was at 42.18 crore at the end of the month. This figure was almost an increase of 3.42% as compared to the preceding financial year.

In spite of the impressive result shown by Vodafone, Bhari Airtel still holds the top position in terms of subscriber base with a massive 12.7 crore of customers.
