Western Coalfields Ltd. net profit is Rs 931 crore
A miniratna public sector undertaking based in Nagpur, Western Coalfields Limited (WCL) has declared its annual financial results for the fiscal year 2009-10 and has managed to register an impressive net profit. The company has posted a net profit of Rs 931.03 crore on equity base of Rs 297.10 crore for the year that ended in 31st March, 2010.
Western Coalfields Limited is a subsidiary of Coal India Limited. Chairman and Managing Director of WCL, Mr. D C Garg has declared the physical and financial performance of the company in its 35th Annual General Meeting at Nagpur.
As per the reports WCL has recorded a highest turn over of Rs 6748 crore in this year. The turn over last year was Rs 6505 crore. So far as the Profit after Tax (PAT) of the firm is concerned, it has touched Rs 645.61 crore during the fiscal year 2009-10. It has Rs 335.43 crore for the preceding year.
The net worth of the company has reported to be Rs 3099.86 crore. Last year, it was Rs 2914.11 crore.
