Wheat futures ends with a high for the third session
India wheat futures ended with a high for third consecutive session. The March wheat has ended at 1,271 rupees per 100 kilogram at the National Commodity Derivatives Exchange. This was almost a hike of 0.41% from the previous quarter.
Apart from that, as per government sources, wheat stocks of the country were at 18.4 million tonnes at 1st of March. It was far ahead of the expectation. This figure was anticipated to be8.2 million tonnes at the advent of the season.
Analysts believe that the hike will continue for the next season soon. The experts are now anticipating that the ministry of export may think seriously to include wheat in the list of exports soon.
According to a government officer, India has now become the second biggest producer of food grains in the world. This year, the production record of the product is so good that India is capable of exporting 2-3 million tonnes of wheat. When the country is dealing with some serious inflation rise issues, wheat has come up with some relief for the domestic market.
