Yahoo came up with $ 100 million ad campaign
Yahoo Inc. has announced to come up with a new ad campaign this season. Towards its first step it has decided to spend $15 million initially and then it will spend up to $ 85 million on the second phase of the ad campaign.
Now it is clear that the search engine giant is trying hard to maintain its market share, after losing its hold in the market due to tough competition from Google and Microsoft Bing.
The Internet portal is now looking forward to revive its growth in the market by such ad campaigns. It has to reach to its consumers and reconnect with them.
As per sources, the campaign will focus Yahoo's array of online websites of basic search engine.
The focus will be on sports and news web sites. However the ad campaign has started in the month of December last year.
Ad agency Ogilvy & Mather was responsible for the first phase campaign of Yahoo and for the second phase it is working with Goodby Silverstein & Partners.
