With an aim to seize the sensitive information from writers, journalists and activists in China, the Yahoo! mail accounts of the citizens have supposedly been targeted this time. And that is the reason why the information on Yahoo! is getting hacked.

It is believed that cyber-attacks, which were carried out with the intention of procuring sensitive information, dates back to the recent Gmail attacks which were carried out in China.

It appears that it is aimed at those journalists and activists who are actively involved in rallying against China's censorship and human rights policies. It is against those who are members of the exiled group, World Uyghur Congress. It is a consortium that is accused of separatism by the Chinese government.

Stretching the abuse to a level where the emails accounts were configured to a forwarded account which was unknown. Obviously, the journalists were quite perturbed by this act.

Throwing light on the prevailing issue, a spokesperson from Yahoo! stated, "We are committed to protecting user security and privacy and we take appropriate action in the event of any kind of breach."
