A-380 at IGI

IGIs-Terminal-3The newly constructed terminal 3 of the Indira Gandhi  International Airport which was inaugurated by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on 3rd July will be marked and celebrated by Emirates. The Emirates will fly the world's largest passenger aircraft Airbus A-380 on the Dubai-Delhi route as a one time special gesture on 15th of July.

The 517 seater superjumbo Airbus had earlier been flown here as a demonstration for Kingfisher Airlines. This time is for a goodwill gesture from the airline to celebrate the launch of T-3. The special cost which is being offered for the Emirates flight's return fare plus tax is Rs. 9,990.

The bookings for this special air journey have been started and now people can have an experience to fly in A-380.

However, this special flight is seen to represent the interest of Emirates in the enormous capacity of the Indian market.

T-3 is equipped with aerobridges to manage the double Decker aircrafts passenger capacity. The flight is scheduled to arrive in Delhi at 2:50 pm in the afternoon and return back to Dubai as EK-517 at 5:50 pm in the evening, IST.

Besides a 14 flat-bed First Class suites, the A-380 also possesses 76 fully-flat seats in the Business Class and 427 comfortable Economy class seats.
