Asus has rolled out its new Eee PC 1002HA netbook in the Indian market.

Targeting at professional travelers, the newly launched netbook weighs just 1.2kg (with battery), and has dimensions of 264mm (W) x 181mm (B) x 27.6mm (H).

The compact and lightweight Eee PC 1002HA netbook works on Super Hybrid Engine (SHE), which reduces the power usage by 15 percent. It has 160 GB of hard disk drive with the advanced 10GB ASUS Eee online storage facilities.

The black-colored netbook comes with a 10 inch LED backlight display with a resolution of 1024×600.

The Eee PC 1002HA netbook, which is based on the Windows XP Home OS, is powered by an Intel Atom N270 processor and also features an Intel 645GSE/ICH7-M chipset and a 1 GB DDRII memory with a support for 2 GB of memory.

While lecturing on the launch, Mr. Stanley Wu, Country Head—Netbooks, Asus India stated, “Eee PC 1002HA is basically targeted at working professionals. We have bundled Eee PC 1002HA with free 10GB online storage facilities along with the usual 160GB HDD storage device. Also, PC users who are conscious about power consumption will surely benefit with SHE that saves up to 15 percent power of the CPU.”

The new wonder from Asus, Eee PC 1002HA comprises Power4 Gear Hybrid application to improve the deployment and usage of power, whereas the energy processing unit (EPU) discovers users’ power demands and adjusts the power according to the need.

With the incorporated 802.11n technology, the netbook also boasts to deliver speedy Internet connection while on the go.

Other exciting features of Eee PC 1002HA comprises a digital array microphone, a 1.3MP built-in webcam, Bluetooth, comfortable keyboard, a large multi-touch touchpad and spacious palm rest, high-definition stereo speakers, a built-in 4-in-1 card reader that supports MMC, SD, Memory Stick, and MS-PRO media formats.

Moreover, a F9 Fast Recovery Key guarantees trouble-free and fast system recovery with a touch of a finger.

The company has not revealed the pricing and availability details of the Asus Eee PC 1002HA netbook up till now.
