Sydney - Australian stocks soared 3 per cent in early trading Friday as the market took its cue from improved sentiment on Wall Street.

After the bell, the ASX 200 put on 100 points, or 3 per cent, to 3,336.

Again, the big climbers were the banks and the big miners. (dpa)
