Australian stocks follow Wall Street downSydney  - The dive on Wall Street propelled Australian stocks down in early trading Thursday.

After the bell, the ASX 200 gave up 109 points, or 2.9 per cent, to 3,577.

Centro Properties Group, the second-largest shopping mall owner after Westfield, asked for a trading halt while it sought additional financing to relieve its debt burden. (dpa)
