Madrid- Carles Puyol will be missing from action for around 10 days, according to Barcelona club doctors on Friday.

Puyol, 30, pulled a muscle at the back of his left thigh in Thursday's 3-2 cup defeat of Espanyol, and had to limp off half an hour from the end.

The Barca captain will miss Sunday's league game away to Racing Santander, as well as next week's cup semi-final against Mallorca and the league game at home to Sporting Gijon. (dpa)
