Blissful moment for peace and Patience

It was a blissful moment for peace, patience and their parents after these twins gets separated by the doctors. The twins had come from Nigeria to get themselves separated.

The twins had been operated on June 7 at the Narayana Hrudayala Women and Child Institute and got separated. Before flying to their home in Benin; they were kept in rehab in Bangalore for three weeks.

The girls' father Emmanuel is delighted to see her both daughter separated. He was happy that her daughters would be able to live normal and healthy life like any other children.

He also said that he and his wife were aware of the conjoined twins in the pre-pregnancy stage itself but both of them love their children in whatever form they will be born and want to give birth to the twins.

Narayana Hrudayalaya Woman and Child Institute director, Dr Ashley L J D'Cruz, said that both the girls are ready to be discharged and flew back to their home town; however, he mentioned that peace needs more six months time to recover properly because she is having hernia.

At the time when they were brought to India, they shared common liver, small intestine, gall bladder and biliary gland. In order to separate these twins a team of 24 medical personnel's were involved.
