CES 2009 to see official launch of  Intel Convertible Classmate PCIntel’s Convertible Classmate PC, also known as the CTL 2go PC has made one more public appearance before its official CES 2009 launch and both the hardware and software have been squeezed. Furthermore, the bile green lid has been replaced with a blue-white pattern and there has been tremendous improvement in the build-quality. There have been further improvements that Intel has made in the Windows XP pen-friendly, with their new Vision Objects Pen Input app.

The software also offers handwriting recognition and an on-screen keyboard, and it is coupled with the Classmate's Quick Launcher interface. It looks like one of the more successful ways the OS has been fettled for fingers and style. Presently, Intel are working with educational software providers with the aim to make touch-friendly versions of their apps, which is something Microsoft should have been doing with ‘grown up’ software developers for years.
 
There are some more improvements that include an accelerometer that no longer lags.  The specs are, 1.6GHz Atom N270 processor with a 60GB hard-drive and an 8.9-inch display. It has been learnt that in the Intel Convertible Classmate PC will start shipping in January.
