Clinic hired clairvoyant to investigate strange phenomena
Oslo - A Norwegian substance abuse clinic hired a clairvoyant after some of the patients experienced strange phenomena in the building, Oslo tabloid Dagbladet reported Thursday.
In addition to medium Lilli Bendriss, who has appeared on a Norwegian television programme called the Power of Spirits, a consultant was also hired, the report said.
"Some of the patients have at different times experienced things they can't explain. We hired people with experience of these matters to explain and investigate them so that their treatment can continue," said Harald Ronning of the clinic, which is near the Norwegian capital, Oslo.
The clinic currently has 11 male patients over 18 years of age.
Ronning said the first strange experience was reported in September 2007.
"Since then others have complained. The experiences were very unpleasant," Ronning said. He also spoke about what "appeared to be forces in the building, presences in rooms that could not be explained, being touched physically, sounds and things that fell inexplicably."
Ronning said the people who reported the experiences were used to "sleeping rough" and "did not scare easily."
According to Dagbladet the clairvoyant and consultant visited the clinic on Tuesday and found energies consistent with what some patients had described.
They also met with staff and patients, which helped soothe some of the unnerved patients. (dpa)
