'Cricket will win battle against terrorism'Rajasthan Royals owner Kundra is optimistic of IPL's success this year

Despite all adversities mounting around the second season of Indian Premier League (IPL), Raj Kundra, owner of Rajasthan Royals believes that cricket will win the battle against terrorism.

In town along with brand ambassador of Rajasthan Royals actress Shilpa Shetty, Kundra, said, "Whatever happened in Pakistan is shocking news for the cricket and I condemn that but the show must go on. With adopting advance safety measures for the tournament we should show the world that cricket can make the things better."

"Tuesday's terror attack on Sri Lankan players in Pakistan is disappointing news for all the cricket playing nations but cricketers are keen to play at the IPL and I think it would go on," Kundra said.

The Centre and IPL officials may be re-working on the schedule of the tournament, yet Kundra landed in Pink City to ensure shooting of the first video film of his team. "We are ready. The players would come to join us later, but we have begun our preparations to cheer them up in advance," he said.

Asked, what made him to bid for Rajasthan Royals as critics considered the team as underdogs despite the team ended up becoming champions of IPL's first season, Kundra said, "The Rajasthan Royals were the most amazing team and I hope we will repeat same success this year too."

In reply of a query if he has some pressures to save the title, an optimistic Kundra said, "I think we will make it again. Though, I say good luck to all the teams I know our boys will win the tournament in any case."
