Deccan 360 eyeing for operations expansion

Deccan-360After selling a portion of its stake to Reliance Industries last month, Deccan 360 is attempting to be aggressive in its approach. It is currently scouting for a Chief Executive Officer to head its operations. As per reports, the Air freight services company is planning to hire a new CEO and then finalize its new business plan.

However, while the company has retained Jude E. Fonseka as a consultant, it has finalised nine candidates to replace the Sri Lankan settled in Australia. The company let go Fonseka as part of its cost-cutting efforts.

Chairman of the company Capt. G. R. Gopinath said that the company was looking at someone with Indian experience and who is willing to stay with the company for a longer period.

The cargo company, which started operations just a year ago, supposedly has sold 26 to 49 per cent of its stake to Reliance Industries. Experts believe that the cargo business is still in its early stages and it is expected to catch pace in the coming years.
