London, Dec 26 : Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard is set to kickstart his New Year with a new pub, according to reports.

The 30-year-old footie star, in partnership his soccer boss dad Frank senior, has bought a posh gastropub called the Pig's Ear in West London, say sources.

Apparently, the father-son duo sees the pub as a property investment.

The pub situated between trendy King's Road and Fulham Road, has a 60-seat restaurant.

"The Chelsea lads will love it - and the first round's on Frank," The Sun quoted a source as saying.

It is also a hotspot of Prince William and girlfriend Kate Middleton, who often stopover for a meal at their favourite corner table.

The pub is even popular with Sloane Rangers.

"Whether Wills will be so keen if it becomes a haunt of soccer stars remains to be seen. The Chelsea lads will want big-screen football on," the source added. (ANI)
