Heart-warming campaign to boost national identity and pride is timely

As the National Day of UAE draws closer, the General Secretariat of the UAE Municipalities launched a campaign under the name 'I Love the Emirates'. Gulf News described it a 'Heart-warming campaign and wrote:.

'The timing for this new initiative couldn't be more appropriate nor timely as UAE prepares to celebrate National Day. The campaign aims to boost pride by making 2008 the Year of National Identity.

'The initiative isn't just a feel-good concept. It's a genuine effort and concerted campaign to boost the genuine values of Arab and Islamic culture, spread awareness in society, define social duties, keep up development and maximise harmony and pride through all of the residents living in the UAE.

'It's a noble campaign and one that needs to be supported by everyone who has made the UAE home. The enlightened leadership has provided huge opportunities for social, economic and geophysical development.
