The dip in number of companies coming for recruitment on the first day of placements at IIMA has left the students disappointed. However, an IIMA student who is yet to be offered a job at the placement said, “It is not only IIMA but all other institutes that have been affected by the recession adversely.” 

Mihir Lal, an IIMA student who has handled media coordination for the placements earlier, said the placement figures being quoted for Day Zero this year were wrong. “They are not official figures. Those you have been given are totally wrong but, as of now, I cannot tell you the exact number of jobs that were offered,” he told DNA. “I don’t handle media coordination for the placements anymore. There is no one doing that job right now but someone will be given that responsibility after some days.”
