India Looking for NSG Back Up For US Nuke Deal

Moscow: Shyam Saran, India’s special representative on nuclear issue is set to connect Russia in bracing the limits on nuclear support with New Delhi by the authoritative 45-nation Nuclear Suppliers Group.

Mr. Sharan is here on a two-day journey to talk about with Russia the lifting of NSG limitations in coping with India.

In Moscow, Saran is planned to call on Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov to brief him on the fresh 123 civil nuclear contract with the US that would ease elating the NSG authorizations against India.

Russia is a key member of NSG that controls the world's nuclear business.

Indian ambassador Kanwal Sibal narrated that Russia is already structuring two atomic power plants at Kudankulam in Tamil Nadu.

He alleged under the memorandum of intention signed up in January during President Vladimir Putin's New Delhi visit Russia will construct four more reactors after the NSG lifts the prohibition on nuclear assistance with India.
