Jet Airways to add new fleet of aircrafts

Jet-AirwaysIndia's top private airlines in terms of sales, Jet Airways said on Thursday that it would be adding 3-4 ATR aircrafts to its already existing fleet in another two-three quarters. This news was given by a senior official of the company.

Talking to the media, K G Vishwanath, Vice President, Commercial Strategy and Investor Relations said that the company already has 112 aircrafts with it and would be adding the new additions in another 6-9 months.

Meanwhile, in another interview to CNBC TV 18, Sudhir Raghvan, CCO, Jet said that the company is expecting to see the 8-10 per cent rise in its revenue because of the launch of its premium service, Konnect Select.

Coming back to the additions, Vishwanath said that it has not yet been finalized as to from which company Jet will be purchasing the aircrafts. He also did not tell as to where the crafts will be used.

However, Sudhir said that Jet Konnect, the economy service of the company is facing a rise in the load factors because of the start of its premium service. Most probably the new aircrafts will be used there only.
