Kajol To Be Honoured With Karmaveer Puraskar Award

KajolThe versatile and spontaneous Kajol will be honoured by iCONGO, a confederation of NGOs and Khemka Foundation, for helping educate underprivileged children.

The coveted Karamveer Puraskar award, to be given away on the 26th of November in New Delhi, recognizes individuals for their admirable work in the field of social service.

The awards are given to individuals from different segments for their input to encourage social justice and action.

Apart from being goodwill ambassador and supporter of the Britain-based Loomba Trust - a charity devoted to educating widows' children, particularly in India, Kajol also works with an nongovernmental organization (NGO) called ‘Shiksha.’

Cherie Blair, wife of former Prime Minister Tony Blair, is President of the Loomba Trust.

Kajol affirmed, “I believe that Social commitment is as important as our professional and personal commitment. It is indeed an honour to have been selected for this award. I will keep doing my bit & giving back to society the best in my capacity.”
