New Delhi, May 29 : Dr. Kairat Umarov, Ambassador of Kazakhstan to India, has been appointed as Kazakhstan’s Ambassador to Sri Lanka.

The appointment reflects Kazakhstan’s desire to promote friendly relations with South Asian countries.

A press release from the Kazakh Embassy in New Delhi said that the country will be looking to expand cooperative partnerships both with India and Sri Lanka. (ANI)
